Please read the following information before proceeding with your order.



We choose to solder all our loops, tops and other fittings, rather than punching holes in the pieces, and we also use heavier gauge materials. It makes it stronger and in our opinion it simply looks better.

On some of our designs prints can be made on both sides, it will be stated where possible.

When a second print is added on the reverse a different fitting will be soldered onto the pendant to make it swivel if required.

Due to the nature of the organic material used(pmc), surface variations are to be expected but will add to the beauty and individuality of the jewellery.

Depending on the prints you wish to use and the length of the name, the final print arrangement may vary. In the case of a particularly long name it can be written on the back, we will contact you in this case.

All final measurements and dimensions may also vary.

All prints will be kept on file up to a year, within the year it is possible to place another order using the same prints, to a reduced cost of the final item.


Upon receipt of your order we will send you a inkless kit within 3 working days. The wipes are completely harmless and non toxic, they are widely used in maternity units to identify babies. You simply rub the wipe over the hand or foot then place on the paper provided to produce a print, try to make more than one print, as many as you can fit on the paper.

Where possible, scan the prints, upload and email them back to us, with the child's name clearly written next to the print, use our contact page to send the prints. If you prefer you can also send them by ordinary mail,
Once we have received your prints we will begin the process of creating the design you have chosen.

All our jewellery are hand handcrafted to a very high standard.

We aim to complete your order as soon as possible, this usually takes 3-4 weeks from that we receive your prints. This may vary during our busy periods such as christmas, mother/fathers day etc.

The jewellery will be packed in our stylish fully recyclable presentation boxes and sent out to you.

If you require the items by a certain date, please contact us and check that we can accommodate you in time before ordering.

We will always contact you should an item be delayed or out of stock. In this instance you will always be given the option of placing the item on back order, choosing an alternative or we will refund your transaction.

Delivery information

All finished items for UK delivery will be sent to you by Royal Mail Special Delivery. Postage charges are £9. This is a tracked service with compensation insurance up to £500 and will require a signature upon delivery.

Handprintjewellery cannot despatch orders to PO Boxes. We request all of our customers to have a registered address. Handprintjewellery reserves the right to decline any orders that do not meet their credit card billing criteria.

International orders

All items for delivery outside of the UK will be sent by 'Royal Mail International Signed For' service. The international postage charge is £14. This is a tracked service with compensation insurance up to £500.

Please note we only post to the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Ireland, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, Japan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Singapore, Slovakia, Sweden and Switzerland this is due to the limited over seas tracking service.

A signature will be required upon delivery. 

You will be responsible for any VAT, import duties or any other costs that are valid for importation of goods into your country.

Delayed or Non Arrival of Packages

If your delivery is late or doesn't arrive within the quoted delivery timescale, please contact us on our contact us page.

Please note that Handprintjewellery cannot be held responsible for any post or packages delayed or lost by Royal Mail, either received by us or sent to you.  In the event of late or non-delivery of your item please contact us and we will provide you with the tracking number in order for you to track your item at Royal Mail. 

In the event of a lost parcel, we can only offer a replacement or refund after Royal Mail has confirmed that the package is lost. This usually takes around 21 days.

Cancellations, Returns and Refunds 

We are sure that you will be truly delighted with your purchases from Handprintjewellery.

However, you have the right to cancel your order prior your ink less wipe kit has been dispatched, within this time any payments made by you will be refunded in full within 30 days. Once your ink less wipe kit has been dispatched there will be a cancellation fee of £8.00.

If you have returned the Handprint Jewellery inkless kit with prints and your order is already in progress, we regret that the order cannot be cancelled. 

Regretfully we cannot accept returns and cancellations on Bespoke / Made To Order / Special / Personalised orders. 

An exception to this would be if we have not supplied the item you ordered. We cannot be held responsible for customers not following instructions correctly when taking prints, not checking orders or misspelling personalised orders. Please make sure you have ordered correctly before contacting us.

You are strongly advised to carefully check your jewellery when you receive them and contact us within 7 days if it is delivered faulty, damaged or if we have made a mistake.

In the unlikely event of a return please contact us on our contact us page, to obtain return details. Once we have approved your return request you will be asked to return the item by insured delivery. We cannot be held responsible for any items lost/damaged back in transit to us. We suggest you use a 'Signed For' service. In the event of a faulty item needing to be returned your shipping costs will be refunded. 

All jewellery should be treated with care.
